TFM Qualified Instructors

Ryan Kimberley - Qualified MTB Skills Instructor

More than just your average mountain biker, this MTB nut has raced mountain bikes at an Elite level, including World Championships in the USA and New Zealand and National Championship 24hr Solo races around Australia, with podium finishes in both the geared and single speed categories.

Ryan has also competed in the 400km GDT Bike packing race on his trusty titanium single speed MTB finishing 3rd overall and setting a single speed course record.

Aside from his own love of riding, racing and collecting bikes, Ryan has a passion for helping others achieve their own riding goals by optimising their fluidity on the trails, increasing their confidence and getting them to the point that they can really flow down a section of single track with control and carry the momentum needed to get faster.

Lachlan Smith - TFM Adventures Guide

When Lachlan isn’t managing operations at the busy TFM Port Melbourne store, he is out discovering the world by bike. He has vivid memories years back whilst riding around the mountainous roads and epic lake vistas of Northern Italy thinking to himself, ‘I would love to one day help people access memorable trips like this by bike not only in Australia, but the world over’.

Lachlan’s vision became a reality when TFM Adventures was forged and can now share this same passion with you on a wide range of organised and fully supported bike trips.

He has taken part in numerous racing events and his true passion lies in bike tourism and guiding riders along trails and roads they may not have known existed in Victoria, Australia and abroad.

Lachlan has over 14 years experience mountain biking and road cycling and over the next few months, will possess official MTBA training accreditation.
